Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
Text entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside company operating that tool. It processes the request and supplies any result under its own policy. Floyd County Warrant Records does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email sent to us may be retained so a reply can be provided. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our systems receive routine technical details when a visitor loads a page:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device. They help show which pages are used and where visits end. Analytics providers combine this traffic information for reporting. A browser can block cookies, although doing so may change how some site features behave.
What We Do With This Data
- Keeping the site up, running, and loading quickly
- Sending your search requests to the right partner service
- Figuring out which pages people find useful and which need work
- Tracking down and fixing technical issues
- Showing ads that may line up with your interests
No Warrant Data on File
This site does not host, maintain, compile, or sell a database of warrants or personal warrant records. It explains where Floyd County warrant records are kept and how to use the Floyd County Clerk of Court, Iowa Courts Online, and the Sheriff's published channel. The restricted IOWA System is not a public lookup. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party profiles.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies power the search boxes. Information submitted there is governed by the provider's privacy terms, retention choices, and sharing practices, not this policy. Review those terms before entering a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to the Floyd County Sheriff's Office, Iowa Judicial Branch, other government pages, legal resources, or outside search services. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination's privacy policy controls. Read it before providing personal details.
Certain advertising partners may track your activity across sites to show targeted ads. That tracking runs on their systems, not ours.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Some information may end up with:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
- Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable security measures are used to protect collected data. No internet system is completely secure, however, so uninterrupted security or the absence of a breach cannot be guaranteed.
Users Under 18
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If such information is identified, a deletion request may be made.
Your Data Rights
Rights may vary by residence and applicable Iowa privacy or consumer-protection law. Iowa Code chapter 22 governs access to public records held by lawful custodians, but it does not turn this private site into a government record custodian. Subject to applicable law, you may:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
Updates to This Policy
This policy may change as practices or legal duties change. A revised copy will be posted here with a new effective date.
